PAID JOURNALISM & VIDEO REPORTER INTERN ROMANEUM — Remote, Uganda Pay: UGX 600,000 per month Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week Initial term: 4-week paid trial, with potential extension up to 3 months and a possible 12-month paid ROMANEUM Reporter contract based on performance and mutual fit. ROMANEUM is building a global Christian media and commerce brand. We are looking for talented young reporters, interviewers, storytellers, and emerging media personalities across Uganda. What you will do • Research American news, faith, culture, entrepreneurship, and people-focused stories for a global audience. • Find Ugandan and African stories that will interest American and international audiences. • Interview people on camera or remotely, create short-form and long-form video, and develop written stories. • Help shape ideas for ROMANEUMNEWS.COM and social channels. • Work independently, meet agreed deadlines, and respond constructively to feedback. What we are looking for • Strong spoken and written English. • Curiosity, good judgement, initiative, and a genuine interest in people and their stories. • Comfortable appearing on camera, or ready to learn. • A smartphone and reliable internet access. • Previous professional journalism experience is not required; potential matters. What you will gain • Real published work for a global audience. • A portfolio of interviews, videos, and stories. • On-camera, social-media, AI-tool, analytics, and audience-development experience. • A pathway to longer-term paid work with ROMANEUM.
